SAMADHAN is a grass root level, social, non political, nonprofit, voluntary organization registered under the Indian Trust Act of 1882. SAMADHAN is registered under the Foreign Contribution regulation Act and is also registered under section 12A of the Income Tax Acts. SAMADHAN has formed its inception, worked towards helping and marginalized people to raise their voices against exploitation, corruption, and infringement of basic human rights. Along with conducting a wide range of developmental efforts, Institution emphasizes the need for a change in consciousness before any meaningful, long term and sustainable change can occur. It has worked hard to accomplish the organization’s mission.The core factor of its success is the total involvement of people in its all the activities right from the stage of planning to the stage of self-actualization.

Objectives of Our Organization

To organize the village community and strengthen the capability of the groups (Women, youth, farmers etc.) formed.

To care, protect 0-18 yrs. children and promote rights, quality education & development.

To educate, organize, and promote the new tools and technologies to the farmers of the project area so as to ensure food security.

To promote entrepreneurship development among the villagers.

To promote awareness on health, nutrition, and sanitation preventive as well as curative among the villagers.

Background of the Founder cum Executive Director

Ms. Hilda Pinto is the Founder and former Secretary of the organization, providing dedicated services for rural women, girls, and child development for the past 25 years. She comes from a middle-class family and has dedicated herself to social services and providing health services to poor families.

Her journey started with struggles in her student life, always working for the betterment of poor women and neglected individuals in terms of health and social issues.

Background of the President

Mr. Sanjeev Bhattacharjee is the President of the organization, hailing from a very poor middle-class family. His childhood and student life were filled with difficulties and struggles. Witnessing domestic violence at a young age fueled his dedication to stop violence against women.

He has been serving neglected masses with limited resources since his early days. After graduating in commerce, he served in a voluntary organization as a Finance Officer for more than 3 years.

Genesis of the Organization

Social, economic, educational, and very backward status, along with inequality among people, led to the establishment of an organization that could fight for their cause.

The foundation of SAMADHAN has been laid to provide dedicated service until the last person among the most neglected and poor is attended and given a respectable life.

The mission of SAMADHAN is to establish an equitable, egalitarian, and socially just society by optionally utilizing the available human, natural, and institutional resources.


System Of Work

The methodology followed by SAMADHAN is participatory, adopting a long-term and holistic approach in all development activities.

It believes in transferring the responsibilities of the paid staff to the village community in the long run to sustain the activities in the area of development.

SAMADHAN has a proper Management Information System (MIS), feedback system, and withdrawal strategy for the successful implementation of activities.

The mission of SAMADHAN is to establish an equitable, egalitarian, and socially just society by optionally utilizing the available human, natural, and institutional resources.

Organization adopted an environment by organizing the women community and empowering the rural poor to promote development as a liberating force aimed at justice, economic growth, and self-reliance.
